Henry Furneaux (1829–1900) was a leading classical scholar from Oxford specialising in the writings of the Roman historian Tacitus. Furneaux' edition for students of Books 1–4 of Tacitus' Annals, a year-by-year history of the Roman emperors from the death of Augustus, was first published in 1885.
