Bessie Rayner Parkes (1829–1925) was an English poet, writer and early feminist. This volume, first published in 1865, advocates for young women to be given the opportunity to work and receive professional training. This volume illustrates the ideologies and beliefs of the late nineteenth century feminist movement.
