This 1869 publication describes the spiritualist activity of Scottish-born medium Daniel Dunglas Home (1833–86). The author, Lord Adare, participated in seventy-eight spiritualist sittings, and the book was originally written as a series of reports to his father, the Earl of Dunraven, who wrote the introduction to Adare's account.
