In 1821, Alexander Fisher (d.1838), ship's surgeon on H.M.S. Hecla, published this lively and detailed account of Parry's voyage in search of the North-West Passage in 1819–20. He describes the people and wildlife seen during the voyage, as well as providing technical details of latitude, weather and currents.
