William Scoresby's Voyage to Australia, published posthumously in 1859, is the account of his final scientific voyage of 1856 and the results of his study into terrestrial magnetism and compass navigation in iron ships travelling on a north-to-south magnetic latitude. It is a key work of navigation science.
