Frederic William Henry Myers (1843–1901) was a classical scholar who later turned to the investigation of spiritualism. This collection of essays originally written for journals was published in 1893. It reveals Myers' engagement with the scientific developments and intellectual currents of his time as he probed the 'subliminal self'.
