This case study describes a process undertaken by a group of researchers and video-workers working with herders in the remote regions of Northeastern Lesotho. It examines the debates raised by Visual Anthropology and ethnographic film-making and the methods and practice of ´Community Video´ theory.
The book gives a firsthand account of - and reflection on - the field work situation. It explores the relations between researchers and the subject community, the production process and the development of the finished product.
