Ed Sanders also finds time for the large-scale project The New Amazing Grace, where he creates a musical marathon of new verses to the beloved classic in cooperation with a large number of colleagues from Allen Ginsberg to Pete Seeger. However, this book is not just about Ed Sanders’ own activities, big and small, from local politics to newspaper publishing and project administration. It is equally a highly personal and entertaining portrait of the times - and the exciting people he met. The book is Illustrated throughout with archival photos and Sander’s own charming drawings - often inspired by the Egyptian glyphs.
