The seminar was initiated by the scientific working group on 'Carcass and Meat Quality' and attracted the interest of the working groups on 'Genetics and Selection' and on 'Nutrition and Management'.
Not so many years ago little attention was paid to non-parasitic respiratory diseases of cattle because they seemed of minor importance. Now, phrases such as "multifactorial disease" are being commonly used to describe the complex situation with respiratory disease.
The book critiques the neo-liberal ideological imperatives of current education and policy reforms, and illustrates the way the shifts in the relationship between the state and education policy affect current trends in education reforms and schooling globally.

Importantly, many key aspects of the aurora – most notably, the physical mechanisms responsible for the generation of discrete arcs – are still unexplained, and auroral physics continues to be an active area of scientific research.
