Thomas Hill Green (1836–82) was one of the most influential English philosophers of his time. This three-volume collection includes previously unpublished papers and lectures. Volume 2, published in 1886, includes Green's Lectures on the Principles of Political Obligation, for which Nettleship faced criticism over his editorial interventions.
